Since Brittany is local to me, last fall I had the opportunity to meet with her and her mom to talk about all things wedding. As Brittany shared about her dream wedding and a little about herself as well as Jeremy; one thing was very evident; her love for Jeremy. When she even mentioned him her face would light up. And as she would light up, her mom Brenda would smile just as big. I just loved seeing her mom’s excitement for her baby girl as she was starting to plan her wedding. I knew that they were going to be absolutely fun and amazing to work with!

When I was prepping my gear the day before Brittany and Jeremy’s wedding at Jubilant Fields Equestrian Center, I knew that there was most certainly an uninvited guest that was going to be making its debut whether we liked it or not….rain. The forecast was calling for heavy cloudy skies and light/heavy rain varying for hours. And even though I knew that the rain was going to fall whether we liked it or not I still prayed that it could at least work with me. Meaning don’t mess up my portrait timeframe lol. With the rain forecasted to show before the ceremony and throughout, they decided that they should implement their backup plan…..get married inside the barn.

With the barn doors opened and the rain falling outside, Brittany began her walk down the aisle to a very nervous Jeremy. Bless his heart he’s such a laid back guy and just so easy going, but at that moment he anxiously awaited to see the love of his life. And as her father gave her away to Jeremy, he relaxed and the biggest smile washed over his face. And in true Brittany & Jeremy fashion, there was no need to have a long drawn out ceremony, in just a matter of minutes these two were newlyweds and now Mr. & Mrs. Lassiter!

After they tied the knot we got the best next exciting news….the rain had stopped! Brittany and Jeremy had planned to get married under a large oak tree. Thankfully with the rain stopping, we had the opportunity to use that spot for all of their family, bridal party and some romantic portraits! It was absolutely beautiful! The rest of the evening was spent celebrating with their many friends, co-workers and most of all their families.
